We Continue to Help Neighbors and Our Children’s Families

April 21, 2020

Although we have been closed for class activities, there are still many ways we are helping out our children and their families. Most parents sell vegetables and fruits at San Roque Market, but now, it has been completely closed down due to COVID cases, which has made it very difficult for them to have any resources to buy groceries. This is where Casa Victoria comes in: we make “Care Boxes” and give them out to Moms of our kids, as well as neighbors who come to our doors requesting food.

We are grateful to ECOPACIFIC who continues to allow us to pick up donated fruits and vegetables:

We thank Gigi P.  who gives us potatoes and yuca

Each week, we prepare “Care Bags” filled with our donated groceries for each family.

We are so thankful to A. Tobar. who gives us flour–which has been amazingly used by Dan, my husband, to make excellent bread (here, a Focaccia)  to share with others!!
